Making animated movies is fun when you use the free online animation application Xtranormal. This short animated film introduces Captain Broccoli who wants to save the world from evil.

I am really fussy about machinima films which are made using computer games. A lot of machinima filmmakers just record their game play and claim it to be a film which can be very frustrating for machinima film buffs such as myself.  Exitium: Vae Victis V would be the best film I have seen so far.

Four more days until Christmas. So to all you visitors to the Fandangle website, Merry Christmas and a happy 2010 New Year.  It has been a while since I posted an article and I appologize for this.  The hesitation to write an article is because I felt the Fandangle website was fragmented and didn't seem to fit a niche of popularity. But on reflection, though my interests spread over a wide spectrum of topics, I feel there is a common subject relationship that encompasses digital media production. If you don't keep up with the pace of digital technology as a filmmaker you will fall to the wayside and loose out on a great opportunity that is availble to you.

Linux is a great operating system and I use it as a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) server. To help beginners understand how to use the Debian linux distro I have written tutorials explaining how to use and manage a lamp server.  To add a new dimension to the tutorial process I have also created videos that compliment the written tutorials.  Sometimes you can't get your head around the written word and a visual example makes it a lot easier to learn and understand. The method I use in making these video tutorials is by using VNC - Virtual Network Computing.  This article will explain how to install a VNC server on your linux computer and then remote to the linux computer from a Windows PC on a local network.
